FAQs
How do the gems and charms stay on my teeth?
We use the same exact bonding process dentists use for braces. No drilling required.
How long will they stay on?
It really depends! The average duration of a tooth gem or charm is between three to twelve months. Individual results will vary based on diet, natural enamel, and dental care - and you often won’t know how your teeth will respond until you try it out. Some customers find their tooth jewelry lasts for years (the longest to date is 10 years!) while others just a few days. If for any reason your tooth gem or charm comes off within the first 30 days we will replace it at no additional charge!
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, we offer a 30 day warranty to all customers. Since we use the same process dentists use for braces, our teeth jewelry will last just as long as a bracket would. So just be cautious with chomping down on hard things. If for any reason your tooth gem or charm comes off within the first 30 days we can replace the gem at no additional charge, if the gold charm comes off and you catch it we can reapply it at no charge. If you happen to lose the charm, it would be $40 to replace the charm.
Does it hurt?
Not at all. The bonding process is pain-free and no drilling is required.
No special preparation is required. Brushing your teeth prior to the appointment is appreciated but not required. Also i recommend not eating, drinking or smoking for at least 1 hour post appointment, so if you’re hungry or need a toke, squeeze that in before coming in to your appointment. Room temperature water is totally fine to drink after your appointment.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
There are no special aftercare requirements for your tooth gems. Try not to eat or drink or smoke for about an hour and then continue to care for your teeth as normal.
How should I care for my tooth gems after installation?
What if I want to remove the gem or charm?
We do not remove teeth jewelry and we do not advise people to pry their jewelry off themselves. When we use our curing light we can sometimes see cracks going straight through some peoples teeth. Therefore we recommend either letting your teeth jewelry falling off naturally or having a dentist easily and safely removing it for you.
“Moni is my favorite and I'm addicted to tooth gems! My fav, a spider web, has lasted two years now! Moni always wants what's best for you and has always honored the 30-day warranty because some teeth just act different than others. I will always recommend Stay Flossy when people compliment my bejeweled smile”
